We usually do a 3rd of July firework show with my parents near there home which is really nice to take some of the craziness out of the actual day. The kids have a BLAST doing this with all their cousins.

I did the face painting myself so we didn't have to pay and it is better anyway. I used something like this with glue, glitter, and stencils. The kids love it and they have fun boy stuff too. |
The next day Ella (2nd time) marches in the local parade with her very low key cheer squad (they only meet once a week) but she loves this and it really builds her confidence.
We usually have lots of family join us. For the second year in a row: Grammy, Grandpa, Nana, Boppie, Hayley & Adam and then my niece Claire came this year too. The kids LOVE catching all the candy that is thrown (that I usually throw away a few days later...shh)!
